Kroger rounded out August with a grand opening ceremony for a new location in Sugar Land. This is their 3rd successful opening in Sugar Land area, and surely won’t be the last.
The new store opened in Riverstone right at the intersection of LJ Parkway and University Boulevard and includes an in-store Starbucks, a Kroger Fuel Center, and several fresh food options.

This store will also feature the Scan Bag & Go program, which will give customers the option to quickly get in and out of the store, and will also offer Click List – a system which allows customers to place grocery orders online and have them delivered straight to their door within a week.

Keep Sugar Land Beautiful and East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry were both in attendance, as their collaborative efforts are helping to reduce food waste and address the basic human needs of families in Fort Bend. KBSL will partner with Kroger and to help them towards their goal of killing plastic bags by 2025. Support them by choosing paper bags to later reuse, or bringing your own reusable bags. East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry donates 92 cents of every dollar directly to their programs and strives to address the basic human needs of families in temporary financial crisis in East Fort Bend County.

Riverstone’s Kroger also features a Starbucks to satisfy that craving, a couple of food options which include freshly made sandwiches, chicken cooked with care, and Pizza Romana.

Kroger provides a unisex bathroom for their non-gender conforming friends, as well as families and the disabled. What a great effort towards inclusion!

Congratulations, Kroger! Now open off University/LJ Parkway.
